Ultra trail running

Ultra trail running

Running, for me, is a way of life. It started as a challenge, but over the years, it evolved into a way to stay grounded, grow, and reconnect with nature, myself, friends, and what truly matters.

The spark was lit in 2010 when I crossed the finish line of the New York Marathon in 3:28:00. That first race opened the door to iconic marathons in cities like Valencia, and even along the mystical shores of Loch Ness. But after a while, the crowds and concrete started to wear on me. I found myself craving something different. Something quieter, rawer, more honest.

In 2021, I took my first steps into trail running, and by 2022, I was scrambling over the rugged cliffs of the Faroe Islands in an off-trail half-marathon. The deeper I went into the mountains, the more at home I felt.

Then came 2024. I ran my first ultra-trail race, the breathtaking Laugavegur Ultra, in Iceland. It was everything I hoped it would be: brutal, beautiful, transformative. I felt stronger than ever. But just weeks later, everything changed.

A routine check-up turned into a life-altering diagnosis: severe heart disease. I went from ultra-fit to undergoing bypass surgery in a matter of days. It was a shock, especially after being cleared “100% healthy” not long before. But instead of breaking me, it reshaped me. I committed fully, training like a professional athlete with a full support team behind me.

Just four months after surgery, I was back on the trails for my first post-op marathon. And not long after that, I finished the UTMB Andorra 50 km - 3,500 meters of brutal elevation.

This website and my Instagram are where I share that journey. The highs and lows. The tough climbs and quiet moments. Whether you’re here for training tips, race stories, or just a bit of inspiration - welcome.
